Defeat

Lesson was not well taken, unfortunately for me.

There will be times in a man's life when he arrives at a junction that warrants him to make that decision to either fight for what he thinks is right, or to give up.

"I decided to give up.

I resign.

I resign from everything."

Every man does not want to fight for a long lost battle.

You have to choose your battles...some things are not worth fighting for. But when you do find something worth fighting for, never give up, to quote Sir Winston Churchill, "Never, never, never give up."

To step back is not giving up.
To take a break while fighting a losing battle.. to assess the battle or war, might be a smart move...a good strategy.. in preserving our energy and our well being.. or perhaps to take another attacking approach, to increase the chance of success or to reduce risk.. Ah! You know better..

SPD: The battle of the heart was a lot tougher than the battle of the bulge.

Abinas: I guess poor old Monty did not quote Churchill at the end of operation market garden.

Wan: Well said. You knew it better than me.

it's alright... it's just like what the famous Churchill saying...

"now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.... "
