She complained of slight fever, followed by muscle and joint ache.
I should have known better.
Those are the signs of the potentially fatal viral illness.
We went to hospital, true enough her platelet counts dropped to 25,000.
"Dear, you have dengue" I uttered the dreadful words.
The next 3 days were some of the 'toughest days' of my life, seeing the one you care about laying in the hospital bed.

May God grant your loved one a speedy recovery.
Be strong and of good courage, Dr. Tranquility.
My prayers are with you and yours.
Take care buddy. I hope all is fine with you and family
Cheers, SL
Hope she's feeling better now. Realised something about dengue -- it takes ages to regain one's strength. My FIL gets tired easily since the recent brush with dengue.
Oh dear, I hope she is feeling better already. I know how dreadful it feels to have your body aching and all. I am not sure about what the doctors say about taking prune juice to help improve the blood platelet, it worked just fine with me when I was down with dengue..
U take care, Doc.
MWS: Thank you dear. Very kind of you. She's well now. Jumping jumping joy joy.
SL: Cheers matey. Thank you for your kind words.
AW: Yeah you're right. It takes a while. But those period will be over one day.
IH: Prune juice, wow that's new. I'll see for my self whether it works :)
